This speaker fiasco

 In the past two weeks, the House of Representatives has reached a new low! The house of representatives has always been a rowdy bunch this is no secret to those of us who pay attention to politics that said, this is different and a whole lot worse! I have paid attention to the politics for a long time now and I have never seen the degree of dysfunction that has been on display over these past two weeks! Keep in mind, I have seen some almighty scraps but never anything like this the dialogue is so poisonous and the hatred so personal then it violates even the lowest standards of dirty politics! The question is. where do Republicans go from here? I cannot speak for the Republicans in Congress and I do not intend to having said that, here is what I would propose to do. Firstly, I would empower the speaker pro temp to act as the speaker in his own right furthermore, I would propose this change by resolution rather than an election by the whole house. Secondarily, I would propose a rule that provides for the election of the deputy speaker therefore, in the event of a vacancy of the office of speaker the deputy speaker would then become speaker in his or her own right. Obviously, if this change were to be adopted it would prevent the house from having to choose a new speaker additionally, this would establish a presidential like succession for the officer speaker and it would allow the house to remain fully functional! Frankly, I don't understand why this has not already been done many other countries have deputy speakers for this exact reason but we don't the question is why? Oops silly me I forgot Washington DC loves chaos unfortunately, the people we elect to do our business care more about politics than representation I find that disgusting! I know I'm not the only one this is why it is so important to pay attention to politics in doing so, we are better able to hold our leaders accountable for their actions! The Congress does not give the American people enough credit we are not stupid we know what is going on and the American people are disgusted by it! Not much is certain in politics but I can tell you this do American people Will not forget this! I predict at the election in November of next year the people involved will pay a very heavy price!
