The future of the GOP after Donald Trump?
Greetings, I thought this might be a good time to examine what the future of the GOP might look like without Donald Trump? Donald Trump has had a vice grip on the GOP for some time now! However, it's no secret that the vice grip is loosening, and it has been for some time. I have no doubt. But the recent repeated indictment of the former president Will help accelerate this process. The GOP is in a very precarious position, where exactly does it go from here? I have put a lot of fun into this. This situation reminds me of what happens when a dictator dies without a clear successor. Often times, the dictatorship will simply collapse because it has no clear leadership or direction. I would argue that the GOP is in a very similar position! Especially, if they are unable to find a clear direction after the inevitable downfall of the former president! Sooner or later, the GOP will have to make a very difficult decision, the party Will have to decide both when and how to cut ties with Donald Trump. After this is complete, I predict one of two things Will happen. The first option and more likely of the two, at least in my opinion, is that the party will split into two and each half of the party we go their separate ways. Alternatively, the moderate wing of the party could very well use this as their opportune to seize control and eject people they disagree with. Either way, the future for the GOP after Donald Trump is extremely uncertain! Personally, I am not so sure that the GOP can continue to exist, at least in its current form. I can only say one thing for sure, for the survival of the GOP, they need to develop a plan for what happened after Donald Trump is out of the equation! I hope they're able to not for the future of the party, but for the future of political stability! Should they fail, the consequences will be catastrophic not just for the GOP, for the American political system as a whole!
