The GOP a slow distant into insanity

Greetings, politics has always been full of drama, suspense and intrigue and those of us who pay attention to politics are used to some truly bizarre things. That said, I can say with confidence that I have never seen a political organization destroy itself the way the GOP has! The Republican Party is in such a state of chaos, they are not even capable of Basic day-to-day business. Since Donald Trump became party leader, the Republicans have been unable to win or govern and even keep control of their caucus, it is truly bizarre and horrifying. The sad part is, the GOP will never be in this position if it were not for the actions of a small group of lunatics led by Donald Trump! Donald Trump says that the MAGA faction represents 99% of the Republican Party. Unfortunately for Donald Trump, the reality is very different from the MAGA faction only represents the most conservative members of the Republican Party, who are solidly in the minority. Donald Trump treats the Republican Party as i...

President Biden's path to reelection

Greetings, I apologize for my absence! I have been dealing with some personal matters that have been taking up the majority of my time, but I digress. This piece Will examine President Biden's path to reelection, with all the focus on Trump, we should not forget that the president is also running for reelection. I will be blunt, the president should not expect an easy road to reelection! Several factors lead me to this conclusion and I will break down what they are as well as, the impact on the president's potential reelection path. After careful consideration, I have identified three main challenges that the president must overcome to win reelection. They are low voter turnout, the unpredictability of Donald Trump and the defense of his accomplishments despite appearances. I will address each one of these points in chronological order, starting with voter turnout. The president must not assume that every Democrat is an automatic Biden voter. In fact, 70% of Democratic voters ...

This speaker fiasco

In the past two weeks, the House of Representatives has reached a new low! The house of representatives has always been a rowdy bunch this is no secret to those of us who pay attention to politics that said, this is different and a whole lot worse! I have paid attention to the politics for a long time now and I have never seen the degree of dysfunction that has been on display over these past two weeks! Keep in mind, I have seen some almighty scraps but never anything like this the dialogue is so poisonous and the hatred so personal then it violates even the lowest standards of dirty politics! The question is. where do Republicans go from here? I cannot speak for the Republicans in Congress and I do not intend to having said that, here is what I would propose to do. Firstly, I would empower the speaker pro temp to act as the speaker in his own right furthermore, I would propose this change by resolution rather than an election by the whole house. Secondarily, I would propose a rul...

Don't be discouraged

It's no secret that we live in politically turbulent in times! That said, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future of this country and the world at large. Don't believe me? It's not by accident that the House of Representatives is the most diverse that it has been it it's entire history! Additionally, the previous speaker of the house is a woman and she is only the second speaker to hold that office on two occasions. On top of all that, for the first time in American history we have a female vice president! I am well aware that turning on the news can be a frightening experience for a lot of people even though I don't think it should be. Let me be clear, United States and the world at large Face major challenges I don't deny that nor I am I minimizing the challenges that the world faces! I am simply saying that we need to put the times in which we live into the proper perspective. Put another way, we need to stop worrying about the problem ...

The future of the GOP after Donald Trump?

Greetings, I thought this might be a good time to examine what the future of the GOP might look like without Donald Trump? Donald Trump has had a vice grip on the GOP for some time now! However, it's no secret that the vice grip is loosening, and it has been for some time. I have no doubt. But the recent repeated indictment of the former president Will help accelerate this process. The GOP is in a very precarious position, where exactly does it go from here? I have put a lot of fun into this. This situation reminds me of what happens when a dictator dies without a clear successor. Often times, the dictatorship will simply collapse because it has no clear leadership or direction. I would argue that the GOP is in a very similar position! Especially, if they are unable to find a clear direction after the inevitable downfall of the former president! Sooner or later, the GOP will have to make a very difficult decision, the party Will have to decide both when and how to cut ties with Do...

On the edge of a cliff

I write this piece with a very heavy heart! Normally, when I write a piece like this, I do not indulge in sensationalism Or over-dramatic titles. Having said that, I feel it is necessary in this case in order to emphasize the seriousness of this situation! When I heard the Treasury say that we could default on our debt As early as the first of June, that sent a shiver down my spine! Frankly, that possibility should scare you too, regardless of your political affiliation or belief! Strangely, The politicians in Washington have thus far failed to appreciate the seriousness of the situation, and I don't understand why? It could be politics, it could be pride, or it could be a mixture of both, regardless of the reasons it's unacceptable! I accept that politicians were how different ideas about economic policy, which is well and good in a democracy. However, I cannot accept politicians playing Russian roulette with the country's economic future just for the sake of proving a pol...

The GOP Civil War

The Republican Party is in a very precarious position! On one hand, the most recent former president has just been arraigned on criminal charges! On the other hand, they're struggling to find a competent leader to replace him. The question is what to do now? Personally, I think this is an absolute disaster for the GOP, and it is unlike anything the party has ever dealt with before. Not even Watergate is an appropriate comparison, this is simply uncharted territory! My next statement might be hard to imagine, but I believe things are going to get worse for the GOP my reasoning is as follows I believe that we're not only going to have a contested primary which may or may not permanently fracture the party in addition to that, I think the party is ready to split in the two! I foresee a future within five years, give or take, where The GOP will split off into two parties. The larger of these two parties will be for the more moderate and traditional sinner right Republicans, while ...
